WP Rocket 3.16 Is Here! Update now.

WP Rocket is a WordPress caching plugin that helps speed and optimise a website for the core web vitals. Recently, they launched 3.16! This version introduces several features that we are very excited about.

First is the “Optimize Critical Images” feature. This will enhance page speed and user experience. 3.16 loads the most impactful images first which can improve your LCP (largest content painful) time. This is very helpful for SEO since Google uses page speed as a ranking factor. This auto-enabled feature allows us to focus on other aspects of the site like content or design. 

Next, they removed the cache tab and integrated features into more intuitive sections of the interface. This saves us time and makes it easier to navigate around, especially for agencies to onboard clients or for new users to learn the platform. 

They also improved mobile optimisation by automating the activation of separate cache files for mobile. This aligns them with mobile-first indexing practices by search engines. It is enabled by default for new installs to enhance mobile device support. 

These new features make 3.16 a welcomed upgrade. For agencies like MAM that manage multiple client websites, the convenience of the configuration and new optimisations can save us time. This will give you a competitive edge in delivering fast-loading and high-ranking websites.

  6. Challenge: Despite the benefits, Reddit does have challenges such as figuring out the culture and tone of voice first before doing ads. You would also need to adhere to specific rules of the different subreddits to avoid backlash or being “cancelled”.

TikTok Starts Tests on 60-Minute Videos.

TikTok is a social media platform that allows users to create, share and discover SHORT videos. It is famous for content such as dance clips, lip-sync videos and comedic sketches. The platform is also known for viral content, influencing music trends and being a launching pad for many internet celebrities and influencers.

So if it’s famous for short videos, why is it testing hour-long ones? The basic answer is, they are competing with YouTube. 

They have started testing the reaction to longer videos, significantly increasing from the previous 10-minute limit. This is part of their strategy to appeal to users and creators who are interested in longer-form content. For users who prefer more extensive content or those looking into deeper narrative experiences.

As an agency, we think that longer videos could also enhance advertising opportunities for us and our clients. It can enable traditional commercial formats and increase platform revenue. This can open avenues for more in-depth content strategies, engage audiences on a deeper level, and enhance storytelling capabilities.

GA4 Upgrade: View Stats In The Last 5 Minutes!

Getting real-time stats is closer than ever. Google Analytics GA4 shows real-time users in the last 5 minutes! Previously, you could only see this metric over the past 30 minutes. This is similar to the old Universal Analytics tool.

If you look at your real-time reports on GA4, you will see the charts now show 2 metrics. Nice right?

The addition of this metric benefits us and other advertisers alike. It offers immediate insights into user behaviour and will let us know if the campaign is effective. With faster data, we can do faster reactions as well to tweak campaigns and make timely decisions. 

For example, if we notice a spike in traffic from 1 specific source, we can assess and adjust budget allocation if necessary. We can tweak the campaign to capitalise on the trend immediately and report more accurately. Additionally, this can help with troubleshooting and optimising live campaigns.

Overall, this update allows us to be more dynamic and precise in managing our digital marketing efforts, ultimately leading to better campaign performance and ROI for clients.
