33 New Markets Now Eligible to Join TikTok’s Effect Creator Rewards Program, including Thailand

“More regions, easier to collect rewards!” That’s what TikTok hopes to do with the expansion of its rewards program to celebrate its creator community and the effects it creates for the platform. Countries like Thailand, New Zealand, Portugal, Greece, and South Africa, among others, have been included as of 12 March 2024.

Another update is that each effect now needs to be used in 10,000 qualified videos to begin unlocking rewards, a huge decrease in the previous requirement of 200,000.

Since its launch last year, some creators were able to receive as much as $14,000 payouts per effect. So it will be interesting to see what the numbers will be for 2024.

By using Effect House, TikTok’s internal augmented reality (AR) development platform, digital marketers and content creators can use this as an additional revenue stream and increase potential conversions for their business/brand.

Google Business Profile Will Now Automatically Display Social Media Posts

Google has begun integrating social media posts into your Google Business Profile (formerly known as Google My Business) to give your customers a more in-depth view of your online activity and engagement. 

Your posts from social media platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook may now be automatically linked and displayed. So it’s important to follow specific formats for social media links to make sure they correctly function on GBP.

This will help businesses enhance visibility and engagement, and it incentivizes maintaining an active social media presence. However, note that this feature may not be accessible to all Business Profiles. Google is still rolling this out to different regions.
